Tamron AF 18-270mm Review f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD LD Aspherical IF Macro Zoom
Video DSLR Lens Features for $649.00.
Hands down by far our best lens investment was the Tamron 18-270mm. This is the highest scoring cost to quality ratio lens on the market for multipurpose applications. The main reason for this is because of its exceptional world record 15x zoom. With this lens there is no more swapping 3 or 4 lens on your video or picture shoot. Around the office we can use this lens to take close-up macro shots of detailed subjects and in the same day go on location and take landscape shots for a client. It does these types of shots with ease and clarity.
The only minor draw backs to this lens is that it is average in low light conditions as compared to other more expensive zoom lens on the market. (See our next lens recommendation the Canon EF 50mm f1.8 for inexpensive low light shooting.) These more expensive lens also cost 5 times more and have less than 1/5th the zoom range of the Tamron 18-270mm. This is why for the absolute best all around bang for the buck in all-purpose lens on the market we selected the Tamron 18-270mm.
